Training & Background

Dr Mahmood graduated from the University of Leicester Medical School. He gained postgraduate experience in a number of London teaching Hospitals including St Georges and Hammersmith Hospitals. He was awarded the higher MD degree at Imperial College for his research on Inflammatory Bowel Disease. He has published several original papers.

Dr Mahmood currently holds a position as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Epsom & St Helier NHS Hospitals and is also the Clinical Lead in Gastroenterology. He has extensive experience in all aspects of Gastroenterology and Hepatology as well as Endoscopy.
